I am extremely honoured to be a part of BUKU MINI #2. If you haven't known it is an exhibition on mini artist book measuring 4cm x 3cm. This year the exhibition will be held at Juara Dunia at Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Each artist is encouraged to be playful and think out of the box for their theme. So I think a Passport sums up my feelings and identity as a Singaporean very well. Ever have the nostalgia feeling of travelling and not travelling?
My process was simple, to create a visual diary of images, marks and text using materials gathered from a library book sale. The book is then created using the different technique such as silkscreen, monoprint and various mix media before hand sew and glue together to form a unique 1 of a kind artist book.
So if you are at Yogyakarta, do check it out. With over 145 artists participating in this exhibition, I am sure will be able to find something you like!
