Just across the bridge and the surrounding takes a drastic change. High rise buildings and factory appear and people starts to gather especially on a good weekend.
Fishing along the canal is a great source of activity for the foreign workers. But I do wonder how clean are the water...
And all these observation ended up as part of my work.

Sunday is the happiest day of my week because it is the time where I can spend some quality time doing my work and going for a good run at the end of the day.

The surrounding of my studio space is seductively quiet.
It doesn't have a fancy mall or restaurant, it isn't the most convenient of all places. But it has a charm of its own.
Tucked at the end of an industrial area, the photo from this post are taken along one of the streets that are about to meet their faith. A lot of my experimentation of colours and collection of references starts from this lane.

Figure drawing is my favourite subject, although the teaching part can be quite a challenge. However it is always good to see students really putting in effort in observing their subject.
As usual I tend to have a little go at drawing the students too.
Early this year, I attended a papermaking workshop at 樹火紀念紙博物館 Suho Paper Memorial Museum Taipei. I am a huge admirer of the dedication and effort that Taiwanese people has put in to preserve their tradition heritage.
